Shops on the Avenue

A holiday retail shopping "mini-mall" that will feature area retailers that carry a variety of goods such as women's clothing, jewelry and accessories, children's clothing, gifts, toys, Christmas ornaments and decorations, gourmet food products, books, etc. We hope to have anywhere from 30-35 retailers at the Shops on the Avenue event. Café on the Avenue will offer light fare and a place to take a short break from shopping. A raffle will be held and door prizes given away.

Shops on the Avenue Committees Need Volunteers to Help with the Following:

Admission / Sales
Meet and greet shoppers at the door.
Collect and sell tickets at the entrance.
Hand out shopping bags to every shopper with a ticket.
Decorations
Help put up decorations before the event and take down the donations after the event (greenery, lights, ribbon, etc.).
Stores decorations (in school basement) for use next year.
Hospitality
Helps supply light refreshments for volunteers and retailers.
Checks in the volunteers and gives them their assignments.
Provides name tags for volunteers and retailers.
Retail Sales
Picks up receipts from all retailers during scheduled times during the event.
Add receipts and enter the information onto spread sheets.
Raffle
Pull names from basket.
Give raffle item to winning shopper.
If shopper is not present then name and telephone number has to be attached to gift.
