Before School (7:00 am- 8:00am)

Breakfast is Open!

Your child can now have a homemade breakfast with us during the 7:00-8:00 hour.  Each week’s menu will be sent home on the Wednesday before to all participating families, as well as posted on St Mary‘s website.

After School  (2:30pm-6:00pm)

TLCare provides the children of working parents with a safe and healthy environment in which they may pursue play, academic or other pursuits in the afternoon hours after school. 

We will have two afternoon locations, individually staffed, to accommodate both a proper study environment as well as proper recreation time.  When homework is completed, the student is able to switch to recreation if so desired.

* When the gym is in use for other activities, basketball, etc. the children will be moved to the third grade classroom, which is the second classroom down the hallways on the right from the main entrance of the school.

TLCare ‘during school’ provides 3 and 4 year olds a nurturing yet academic-minded environment, before and/or after pre-K class.  Flexible enough to accommodate quiet times for the little ones, TLCare also fosters a love for learning by providing fun activities and discovering the learning within the fun!

ABC’s and 123’s: a structured “play school” time to reinforce Pre-K lessons.

 Centers:  skill development from pre-K aged Centers:

?   Story Corner            (story time, picture books, telling stories)

?   Lil’ Architects            (Legos, blocks, Thomas trains, lincoln logs)

?   The Drawing Board   (drawing, coloring, painting, chalk-time)

?   Tutor Computer         (educational computer games)

Detective TLC: ‘Use your noodle’ time with puzzles, clues, rhymes & riddles.

Music Time: listening, learning, reading, or playing music.

Library: weekly visit to the school library.

PRE-CESS: outside play (weather permitting).       

Costs

PER DIEM PLAN

TLCare is available on a per diem basis, for those who only use TLCare occasionally.  Invoices will be sent out on a weekly basis, and are payable to St. Mary School upon receipt.

7-8am (all ages) - $8 per day (includes breakfast)

After School (all ages) - $10 for the first hour,

or any portion thereof (after school snack included)

After School (all ages) full afternoon (2:30 - 6:00pm) - $18

During School (pre-K) - 8:00am - 2:30pm - $10 for first hour,

or any portion thereof

$4 for each additional hour

$20 for 11:00am - 2:30pm

This discounted plan is for students who use TLCare every day.  In order to take advantage of this discounted rate, payment must be received by St. Mary School by the 28^th of the prior month.  (if payment is not received ahead of time, the family will be billed at the per diem TLCare rates).

General Procedures

Picking your child up:  When you are picking up your child, he/she will either be in the gym, TLCare room (located in the far right corner of the gym) or in the Library (downstairs) if during Study Hall.  When the gym is in use for other activities, basketball, etc., the children will be moved to the third grade classroom.  The after school program closes at 6:00pm sharp.  You will be charged $5.00 for every 5 minute increment you are late.

 Behavior Policies:  TLCare follows the same rules and policies outlined in the School’s Discipline Policy.  Any failure to follow will result in a “time-out” for your child (time away from the group, thinking about actions occurred).  Time-outs usually last 1 minute per year of a child’s age, although staff may slightly increase the minutes per his/her judgment.  There will be a loss of privileges if we see a reoccurring problem.  A continual disregard for the Discipline Policy (I.e., if a child receives three written warnings) will result in removal of the child from the program.

 Toys from Home:  Children are allowed to bring in toys and games from home that can be shared.  However, they are not allowed to take these toys out during school hours.  TLCare or other children are not responsible for lost or broken items.

 Lunch:  Pre-K children are to bring a lunch everyday they attend TLCare.  The Hot Lunch program is also available to TLCare children, but they must place their lunch orders in advance based on the lunch program guidelines.

 Illness:  If your child is sick/not feeling well (coughs, colds, fever, etc), please keep him/her home.  Germs spread rapidly among children and as a consideration to each other, please keep him/her home.
