The Saint Mary School Community
God our Father,
Your Holy Spirit binds us all in love.
We see your Spirit at work in our world,
Breathing your gifts into all who belong
to you-
Wisdom, Understanding, Knowledge,
Counsel,
Strength, Wonder, and Reverence.
Please give us these gifts, too!
We ask this through Jesus Christ our
Lord.
Amen
-Children’s Daily Prayer 2007-2008

The new officers have developed a survey
for parents to contribute their

• Secretary of State Poster Contest:
Congratulations to Renata Pastuzak,
student in Mrs. Cretella’s class, who
was one of only five students statewide
to win the Secretary of State Poster
contest. Over 1000 students entered the
contest.
• JUSTICE IS ...”: The Greater
Hartford Legal Aid sponsors an art
contest that is an important opportunity
for the students to consider and
articulate visually the meaning of civil
justice in our lives, as part of our
heritage and responsibility in American
society. More importantly the goal fits
nicely with Catholic Social Teaching.
The artwork of two students from
Saint Mary School was selected for an
award. These students along with the
school, DO NOT know what position these
students have placed. The students, as
well as the school, will be presented
with awards at a ceremony in May.
The students representing us at the
Eleventh Annual Art Contest for “Justice
is” are:
Michael Mahoney
Katharine Reilly
